Event

Diversity and Inclusion Part 4: Reflecting on Biases - From Awareness to Engaging in Action

Speaker: Anna Han, OITE

About this event

This workshop explores biases' influence on our judgments, decisions, and behaviors—whether conscious or unconscious. We'll delve into the science behind biases, understanding their origins, motivations, and their effects in various fields like the workforce, academia, and science. Reflecting on our own biases, we'll highlight that bias can be mitigated and introduce evidence-based strategies to minimize bias in everyday life. Participants will engage in small group discussions during the workshop.
