Event
Diversity and Inclusion Part 5 - Bystander Intervention and Allyship
Speaker: Anna Han, OITE
About this event
This workshop explores bystander intervention in situations involving bullying, harassment, and/or violence. We'll discuss 5-steps of bystander intervention, including when and how to recognize a problem, how to overcome our reluctance to step-in and be a part of the solution by learning to intervene safely. We'll also explore the pivotal shift from being a bystander to embracing the role of an ally, emphasizing the practice of active allyship. Participants will engage in small group discussions during the workshop.
