FAES-Trustmark Informational Wallet Card and Provider Information Sheet

Trustmark will be mailing new informational wallet card and a provider information sheet (attached) to all plan participants. Plan participants can share the card and information sheet with providers when seeking care to assist the providers with verifying coverage and submitting claims to Trustmark. The documents also outline the relationship between Trustmark and the Aetna Signature Administrators PPO network.  The wallet card can be carried along with your insurance card.  An electronic version of both documents is available on the Trustmark portal and the FAES Insurance website.

At-Home COVID-19 Test Kits

FAES plan participants can get free at-home COVID-19 tests in three ways:

  1. Express Scripts (ESI) Pharmacy: You can order up to 8 at-home COVID-19 tests every 30 days from Express Scripts Pharmacy. Log in or register to place your order on express-scripts.com.
  1. Retail pharmacy: You can pick up tests from your local ESI participating pharmacies. Purchase your tests at the pharmacy counter and offer your benefit information for a $0 copay. If you pay for the tests out of pocket, ask for a pharmacy receipt. Log in to your account on express-scripts.com for instructions on how to submit a reimbursement claim.
  1. Federal government: With the help of the United States Postal Service (USPS), households can request tests to be delivered for free. To learn more and order at-home tests, visit covidtests.gov

Reasons to care for mental health

Maintaining a positive mental health and seeking treatment for any mental health condition is crucial to stabilizing constructive behaviors, emotions, and thoughts. Focusing on mental health care can increase productivity, enhance self-image, and improve relationships.

Nurturing mental health doesn’t just improve daily functioning, it can also help control — or better cope with — some physical health problems that are directly linked to mental health conditions.

Other benefits of taking care of your mental health can include:

  • Reducing your anxiety
  • Creating an enhanced sense of inner peace

What Mental Health Resources are Available?

FAES plan participants have access to mental health resources and providers through the FAES medical plan and Talkspace. The medical plan allows plan participants to seek mental health care from  in- or out-of-network providers with office visits at the same $15 copay. Plan participants have the same coverage for mental health office visits when going in or out of the network. There are no restrictions when selecting your mental health provider since you can go to any provider using the FAES medical plan. Talkspace is a digital mental health service that connects members to thousands of dedicated providers through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. With Talkspace, you can interact with your therapist via text, voice, or video messages—anytime, anywhere—including from the comfort of your home. Talkspace also has a network of licensed prescribers specializing in mental health care and prescription management.

At-home COVID-19 Test Kits Now Covered

As of January 15, 2022, the FAES pharmacy plan through Express Scripts will cover over-the-counter at-home COVID-19 test kits at no-cost for plan participants. Plan participants are eligible for up to 8 at-home COVID-19 test kit(s), per covered participant on the plan, from an in-network pharmacy every 30 days. You may go to any retail pharmacy in the Express Scripts network and obtain COVID-19 test kit(s) at the pharmacy counter. To find a retail pharmacy in the Express Scripts network please visit express-scripts.com and click “Find a Pharmacy.” You can also use the Express Scripts mobile app. If you are not able to obtain at-home COVID-19 test kit(s) at an in-network pharmacy, you can submit your receipt for reimbursement for up to $12 per test. Plan participants can register or login to their Express Scripts account to access a reimbursement form. This flyer has additional information. 

Another method to order at-home COVID-19 test kit(s) is through the Express Scripts Pharmacy delivery service. Plan participants can register or login to their Express Scripts account to place their order.

In addition, the Federal government, with assistance from the United States Postal Service (USPS), is providing households a total of 4 tests to be delivered free of charge by request. You can learn more and order at-home COVID-19 test kit(s) by visiting www.covidtests.gov

Benefit Plan Highlight: Mental Health Resources

FAES is committed to supporting the mental health and overall well-being of our plan participants. FAES offers access to Talkspace online therapy and psychiatry, as well as Lasting (relationship support) from Talkspace at no-cost to plan participants.

Therapy can benefit everyone. It isn’t solely beneficial after experiencing a traumatic event, ongoing anxiety, or a major life change; it can help in everyday life too! A therapist may provide new techniques for problem solving, help challenge irrational habits and incorrect assumptions, reframe long-held views, or help you grow and change. A therapist can also assist you overcome mental health conditions like depression and anxiety.

Primarily a therapist can help you:

  • Understand your feelings- Learn what emotions are common for a condition or circumstances.
  • Get immediate support- While deep-seated issues can be addressed down the line, counseling can benefit you in situations where you need help urgently.
  • Plan your future-Therapists can assist to create a game plan and set goals for the future in a safe environment and keep you accountable.
  • Relieve the pressure with a therapeutic relationship- Often, simply getting things “off your chest" in a safe space can be healing. If serious problems arise again, the on-going therapeutic relationship will keep you strong.

The most important thing is that a therapist is always there for you. They’re an impartial ally who will support you without judgment.

Talkspace therapy includes 4 live video sessions per month. Talkspace psychiatry includes 13 live sessions. FAES plan participants also have access to Lasting from Talkspace (relationship support). Please view the Registration Guide on how to get started.

The Talkspace program is a supplement to the comprehensive mental health benefits offered through the current FAES medical plan. The medical plan allows plan participants to seek mental health care from both in and out-of-network providers for office visits at the same $15 copayment. Plan participants will have the same coverage for mental health office visits when going in or out of the network. There are no restrictions when selecting your mental health provider since you can go to any provider nationwide using the FAES medical plan.

3-24-2020 Email Regarding Coverage of Telemedicine Visits

To all NIH Fellows Enrolled in the FAES Health Insurance Plan:

All FAES onsite offices are closed. FAES Insurance is working remotely during our normal operating hours, Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm. We are processing all new enrollments, renewals and terminations via email. 

COVID-19 insurance coverage is regulated in accordance with “The Families First Coronavirus Response Act”.

With the COVID-19 pandemic, many providers are transitioning traditional office visits to telemedicine visits. The FAES insurance plan covers in-network telemedicine visits at 100% after a $15 copayment for Primary Care and a $25 copayment for Specialist. Out-of-network telemedicine visits are covered at 70% after the out-of-network deductible. Please consult with your provider if they are capable of telemedicine visits.

Please note: Only telemedicine visits with the diagnosis for COVID-19 testing will be covered at 100% with no copayment, deductible or coinsurance.

To all NIH Fellows Enrolled in the FAES Health Insurance Plan:

With the rapidly evolving situation surrounding COVID-19, FAES has decided to close all on-site offices and enable staff to telework from March 16th through March 27th.  FAES will be available by phone and email Monday through Friday, during our normal operating hours form 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. FAES is committed to continue providing excellent customer service virtually to ensure that all your health insurance needs are addressed.

Please note that FAES will be covering the COVID-19 test at 100%, in and out of network, regardless of place of setting. This will leave members with no deductible, copayment or coinsurance should they need to have this testing done.
