This event is recommended for: Graduate Students; Postdocs/Fellows.

Around the world, money is spent each year on scientific research through grants and fellowships. To ensure that this money is well invested in projects that have the potential to move a field forward, private, government, and non-profit organizations recruit program and scientific review officers to help oversee the processes related to grant review and funding allocation. This seminar will present these careers, which are away from the bench and crucial for the development of research.  Our panel will discuss their work and will tell us why they decided to take on these types of jobs. Finally, our panelists will give you tips on how to successfully transition to these jobs after your training at NIH. (This event is sponsored by FelCom.)
