The Kidane Lab at Howard University College of Medicine is seeking a Research Assistant/Lab Manager to study DNA repair, tumor immunology, and cancer biology.
About the position
This role involves conducting research using human cell lines and mouse models and applying techniques such as CRISPR/Cas9, next-generation sequencing, flow cytometry, and molecular biology assays. Potential applicants should have lab experience in molecular and/orcell biology work with mammalian cell culture, mouse models, and basic molecular techniques such as PCR, Western blot, and DNA/RNA processing. Applicants should also possess strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This lab manager will be expected to perform routine lab maintenance and reagent preparation, conduct molecular biology experiments, maintain cell cultures, and assist with mouse studies in support of our lab's setup and research activities.
