Postdoctoral Scholar (Ohio State University)

Dr. Sharla Wells-Di Gregorio is now recruiting a postdoctoral scholar to implement clinical interventions with people with cancer.

About the position

Prospective postdoctoral scholars will collaborate with Dr. Wells-DiGregorio to implement a combined mHealth-telehealth symptom cluster (sleep, worry-anxiety, fatigue, depression) intervention for people with advanced cancer (found under study ID 1R01CA281885-04A1). This study will also examine immune and hormonal biomarkers that affect symptom clustering. Secondly, this postdoc will be involved in supporting a brief telehealth intervention with people with pancreatic cancer.

Additionally, prospective candidates will work with Dr. Wells-Di Gregorio on manuscripts, grants, and presentations, as well as data management and analyses, collaboration with other biomedical labs, and with teaching and supervising of junior research staff. This postdoctoral researcher will also have the ability to obtain additional clinical hours toward licensure, if desired.

Qualifications

Prospective candidates should have a Ph.D. in clinical psychology with training or experience in health psychology. Experience in research methods and design, basic statistical analyses, cognitive-behavioral therapy , acceptance and commitment therapy are highly desirable. Knowledge of Health equity, especially as it pertains to working with rural populations, is a plus. Psychoneuroimmunology knowledge would also be helpful, but is not required.
